Just a few hours ago, Jack Gilinsky was arrested for accidentally stealing a sweatshirt.
Despite quickly apologizing to the store’s manager and offering to pay triple the amount of cash, the manager still insisted on an arrest.
Jack Gilinsky Accidentally Steals a Sweatshirt, Gets Arrested

“They are currently deciding Gilinsky’s fate,” Johnson revealed on Snapchat. “You gonna cop a charge, bro! We ain’t leaving this airport.”
Jack Gilinsky could be seen talking to police holding a red sweatshirt. He was later taken away and handcuffed in full view of the public. “See you, Jack!” Johnson said. “This is really happening. This is really happening now. This is not a joke. This is not a prank.”
Jack Johnson told fans that he did not expect the police to ACTUALLY arrest Gilinsky. “I did not expect them to take Gilinsky to jail. But he accidentally stole a sweatshirt. It was a complete accident. And he instantly turned around and offered to pay for it. However, the manager still wanted him to go to jail. I got all of G’s bags with me right now. They made me take his bags and I am waiting for my Uber to go bail him out.”
After arriving at the police station, Jack spent a few hours waiting outside as he jokingly chanted, “Free Gilinsky!” He even threw rocks at the wall.
He even met some fans. “Hey, these girls came to protest with me. I’m playing them some new music.”
“You don’t even understand. Everybody knows G is innocent. Like the cops were all laughing when he explained the whole situation. This manager, is just, ugh. She’s being so petty. The dude offered to pay you triple. Just let him go! Don’t create more drama than necessary. I am so mad right now.”

Here’s the official, public inmate information for Gilinsky. The charge level is an M (Misdemeanor) and the arrest was actually a Citizen’s Arrest. His bail was set at $5,000 and his next court date will be at October 14, 2016 in the morning. Jack Gilinsky also weights 160 pounds, if you ever wanted to know that.

Jack waited around at the station to pay the $5,000 charge, and had some fun amusing his fans on Snapchat.
“I am wearing a tank top right now. I feel like it is right. I got to be pretty hard right now. G’s in jail. I need some gangsta. I look like I am ready to run in there to bust Gilinsky out!”
“I don’t even smoke, by the way. This isn’t mine. It goes along with the tank top and baggy jeans. This cigarette’s not even lit, okay. It’s for the image, okay. I need to book bad. I’m outside of jail right now and it’s street cred. Free Gilinsky!”
“I talked to him via a payphone. He said that he is in a cell with a bunch of random dudes. Let’s hope nothing scarring is going on in there.”
