157-year-old British publishing industry magazine The Bookseller has published its weekly Official UK Top 50 chart – where Tanya Burr has debuted at #5, with sales of 15,117 copies.
Tanya Burr’s beauty book “Love, Tanya” has sold 15,117 copies during the first week of its official release, according to The Bookseller and Nielsen BookScan.
However, Tanya’s book was actually available prior to the official release date – which brings her final sales total to 15,862 copies sold over two weeks.
In comparison, her friend Zoe Sugg’s almost 3-month-old book Girl Online sold 7,161 copies last week, bringing her cumulative total to a massive 285,511 copies sold since its release.
Girl Online has finally fallen out of the Top 10 to #13, after an impressive nine weeks near the top.
Zoella previously broke records with a monster 78,109 copies sold in her first week – which easily allowed her to top The Official UK Top 50.
Tanya Burr debuts under online food blogger Ella Woodward’s Deliciously Ella, who topped the chart with 32,144 copies sold – the highest for a debut food or drink writer since records began.
With just 34,000 Twitter followers compared to Tanya’s 1.24 million, blogger Ella is sure to be celebrating her big sales figures.
